Rindfleisch, William F. (4 June 1911 - 14 July 1996)

William F. Rindfleisch, 85, of S705 Eau Pleine Road, Spencer, died at 12:20 a.m. July 14, 1996, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Hospice Care Unit. He had been admitted to the hospital on June 23.

There will be no public visitation or funeral service. The family will receive relatives and friends at an open house at the family residence from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Rembs/Kundinger Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

He was born June 4, 1911, in the town of Brighton, Marathon County, to Albert and Martha (Schwantes) Rindfleisch. He married Ethel M. Strebe Blake on Aug. 13, 1948.

Mr. Rindfleisch attended town of Brighton elementary school and graduated from the Spencer High School in 1929. He was the former owner and operator of a trucking service in the Spencer and Colby areas for more than 30 years. He later was employed at Land O’Lakes, Inc., of Spencer until his retirement. He then was employed for Bus Service for a period of time.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel Rindfleisch of Spencer; his son, William M. Rindfleisch of Dharan, Saudi Arabia; a step-daughter, Nancy (Robert) Alvin of Phoenix, Ariz.; a step-son, Dr. Kenneth Strebe, of Mountain; six step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be designated in Mr. Rindfleisch’s name to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America.
