Luepke, Sena Suzanna (28 Jan. 1901 - 30 Dec. 1933)

The many friends and relatives of Mrs. Fred Luepke were grieved to hear of her death which occurred at St. Joseph's hospital at 10:05 Saturday evening, Dec. 30, 1933.

Mrs. Luepke had been in ill health since September and for about two months at the hospital. Death was caused by heart failure.

Sena Suzanna Hoops, was born at Spencer January 28, 1901, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hoops, one of a family of thirteen children. She is also the first of the eleven of the family who lived to maturity, to pass out of it by death.

On July 30, 1919, she was united in Marriage to Fred Luepke. They are the parents of three children: Pauline 13, Jeanetta, 11 and little Virginia, 3. Her entire life was spent in or near Spencer. She was educated in the Parochial and Public schools. Baptized in infancy she was confirmed at the age of fourteen in the Trinity Lutheran Church, of Spencer. At the time of her death she was a member of the St. John's Lutheran church, north of Spencer. She held the office of secretary of the Ladies Aid Society and for a number of years was the organist. She was the possessor of a strong faith which remained undaunted at the approach of the death angel. Apparently seeing and hearing what those present with her could neither see nor hear she told them that she had heard the call and that she must go. Sweetly and peacefully as a child goes to sleep in its mother's arms she slipped away into the Great Beyond.

She was a faithful wife and a loving mother. Beside her husband and children, she leaves her aged parents and five brothers: August, Martin *** Note: The rest of clipping was missing.
