Hoernke, Alvina (26 Oct. 1898 – 16 July 1961)

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in St. John’s Lutheran church in the town of Wein for Mrs. Herman Hoernke of Edgar, Route 4, who died Sunday at 5:15 in the Marshfield hospital. Rev. August Zaiser officiated at the services and internment was made in the parish cemetery.

Alvina Passehl was born in Calumet county on October 26, 1898. She came to the town of Frankfort with her parents as a small child. He marriage to Herman Hoernke took place in 1917. They operated her parents’ farm in the town of Frankfort.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Lawrence of Colby; three daughters, Mrs. Reinhardt (Viola) Wiersig of Colby, Mrs. Robert (Ella) Behringer of Wausau and Mrs. Donald (Laura) Wachholz of Marshfield, Route 3; three brothers, Ernest Passehl of Edgar, Route 4, Andrew Passehl of Stratford and Louis Passehl of Racine; a sister, Mrs. August Gartman of Gleason; eight grand children.
