Hager, Warren A. (6 Mar. 1921 – 13 Jan. 2009)

Warren A. Hager, 87, of Stratford died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at Golden Living Center-Three Oaks, Marshfield.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Mr. Hager was born March 6, 1921, in Fenwood to Andrew and Alvina (Wiesman) Hager. He married Lucille C. Karlen on Feb. 12, 1944, in Poniatowski. The Hagers farmed in the town of Cleveland, Marathon County.

Warren is survived by his wife, Lucille of Stratford, and his children, Elaine (Ardell) Steines of Mosinee, Maurice (fiancee Deb Menacher) of Edgar, Virginia (John) Larson of Madison, Kathy (Bill) Randow of Plymouth, Mich., Cynthia (Neil) Suchon of Wausau, James (Karen) Hager of Stratford, Michael Hager of Wausau, and Sue (Tom) Weix of Colby. He also is survived by 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by five sisters, Florence Zahn of Rothschild, Adeline (Rex) Mortensen of Wausau, Verna (Delbert) Wetterau of Stratford, Barbara (Russell) Peterson of Wausau, Janice (Clarence) Dumke of Oshkosh and a brother, Marvin Hager of Edgar.
