Plath, Mr./Mrs. William (40th Anniv. – 15 Oct. 1950)

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Plath were guests of honor of their children in celebration of their 40th Wedding Anniversary at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Siegert Krasselt, daughter of the Plath's on Saturday, October 15.

Dinner was served at noon to the immediate family with all being present. The table was centered with a white Lady Baltimore cake with Roses and 40th Wedding Anniversary written across it. Flowers also adorned each end of the table.

The Plath's have three daughters, Mrs. Helen Fisher, Mrs. Eva Krasselt, and Mrs. Arlene Youmans, and two sons, Sherwood and Wm Plath Jr. and eight grandchildren.

In the evening relatives and friends were invited to help celebrate with the honored couple. An informal evening was spent with lunch served at midnight. Mr. and Mrs. Plath were presented with fits, cards and a purse of money.

Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Fisher and son, Gary, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Hoops, Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Merton Youmans and daughter, Joan and Beverly, Mrs. Richard, Janesville; Mr. and Mrs. Sherwood Plath and sons, Michael, Stanley and Clifford, Oshkosh; Wm. Plath, Jr., Bonnie Oelrich, Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marten, Freemont; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Prein, Riplinger, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Boyer, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Molle, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Vanderhoof, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Voelker, and daughters, Iris & Barbara, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bymers and son, Roger, Mr. and Mrs. Carrol Voelker and son, Richard, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Huber, Mr. and Mrs. John Wry; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hoops, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Hoops, Mr. & Mrs. Lowell McIlhattan, Mr. and Mrs. John Holzschuh, Mr. and Mrs. John Korntved, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Huber, Mrs. Tillie Monthe, and Mrs. Anna Fredericks, all of Spencer.

Mr. and Mrs. Merton Youmans and daughters and Mrs. Reckner returned to Janesville Monday accompanied by Mrs. Wm. Plath who will visit there for two weeks and also will visit at Fond du Lac.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Fisher, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Hoops of Fond du Lac and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Martin of Freemont, returned home on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Sherwood Plath of Oshkosh also returned home on Sunday.

The Record joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for many more years of happy wedded life.
