Behringer, Debora K. (14 July 1954 – 20 Feb. 2009)

Debora K. Behringer, 54, of Stratford died Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at the Palliative Care Unit at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at the Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford.

Visitations will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and again from 10 a.m. Wednesday until time of the services.

Debora K. Behringer, 54, of Stratford died Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at the Palliative Care Unit at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at the Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home in Stratford, with the Rev. Sue Eidahl officiated. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Marshfield with Heath Zakrzewicz, Travis Kind, Darrick Jordan, Andy Smith, Lucas and John Behringer serving as the pallbearers.

Visitations will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home and again Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of the services.

Debora was born July 14, 1954, in Stanley to Robert and Marie (Johnson) Zakrzewicz. She attended Loyal High School and Mid-State Technical College in Spencer. She worked as a certified nursing assistant in Marshfield.

She was married to Jack Schmidt on April 26, 1974, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Loyal and later divorced. Debora moved to Stratford and then worked at various places. She then married Michael Behringer on June 2, 1990, in Stratford. She had many interests, especially spending time with her family and friends, playing horseshoes and gardening.

She will be missed by her husband, Mike of Stratford; three children, Melissa (fiance Scott Bahr) Schmidt of Neillsville, Philip (Terri) Schmidt of Auburndale and Kip (fiancee Heather Boettcher) Schmidt of Osseo and four grandchildren, Shyla and Jada Salisbury, Danielle Bahr and Jordan Draeger. She is further survived by her father, Roland Truchinski of Stratford; three sisters, Lynn (Gerald) Bryson of Mesquite, Texas, Kim Truchinski of Edgar and Tammy (Scott) Zoellner of Glendale, Ariz., along with many nieces and nephews.

Debora was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Randy Zakrzewicz.
