John P. Mullen

John P. Mullen, 57, Rothschild, was pronounced dead on arrival at a Wausau Hospital Tuesday morning.

Mr. Mullen was a native of the Town of Bevent, Marathon County, and his wife was from the Polinia area.

He was born in Bevent July 21, 1907, a son of Mrs. Mary Mullen, Wausau, and the late Louis Mullen.

His marriage to the former Susan Bronk took place in Polonia Oct. 29, 1928.

Mr. Mullen was employed by the American Can Co. in Rothschild, where he had worked since 1927. He was a member of the company’s Quarter Century Club, the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Rothschild.

Surviving are his wife; his mother; two sons, Ernest J., Green Bay, and Donald R., Rothschild, Mrs. Grace Detroit, Route 1, Schofield; six grandchildren; two brothers, Frank, Rothschild, and Max, Town of Rib Mountain, Marathon County; and four sisters, Mrs. Theresa Ciszewski, Bevent, and Mrs. Alice Narlock, Mrs. Florence Meysembourg and Mrs. Marion Andrzcyzak, Wausau.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mark’s Church, with burial in the spring in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Town of Kronenwetter, Marathon County.

Friends may call at the Janssen Funeral Home, Schofield, after 1 p.m. Thursday. A Knights of Columbus rosary is scheduled at 6:45 Thursday evening and a parish rosary at 7:30.
