Christina Vetter (19 Jul 1874 - 1953)

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from Fuchsgruber Funeral Service parlors here (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI) for Miss Christina Vetter, 78, who died suddenly Sunday afternoon at her home after a brief illness. The Rev. F.H. Sprengler, pastor of St. Peter’s Lutheran church, conducted the final rites at 2:30 pm and burial was in Dorchester Memorial cemetery. Pallbearers were William Malchow, John Rau, Rudy Ortleib, Carl Braun, Max Sebold, and Arthur Schrader.

Christina Vetter was born July 19, 1874 in Indiana, and moved to this community with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Vetter, in 1881. The family homesteaded the Vetter place in the town of Mayville, northeast of the village, where she had resided since.

Miss Vetter is survived by two sisters, Alma and Minnie, who reside on the original homestead, and a niece, Mrs. Emil C. Schneider. Her parents, five brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
