Frank Tepolt (4 Dec 1880 - 20 Jun 1953)

Funeral services for Frank Tepolt, 72, were held from St. Louis Catholic church here (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI) at 9:30 am Tuesday, June 23, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Thomas F. Hayden, pastor, officiating at the rites. Burial was in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery, and pallbearers were Rudy Ortlieb, F.V. Hiebsch, M.J. Weix, Ernest Johnson, Mike Geiger, and William Grinkerwich.

Mr. Tepolt died Saturday, June 20, at Sacred Heart hospital in Tomahawk. He had suffered a heart ailment for several years, and had been in failing health of recent months.

Frank Tepolt was born in Germany on Dec. 4, 1880, and came to this country with his parents as a small boy. The family settled on a farm north of the village, where he was reared, and he spent his entire life in this general area, mostly in this community. He farmed and engaged in mason work throughout his lifetime.

On Oct. 25, 1905, he and Emma Vetter of this community were married, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 23, 1946. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Emil C. Schneider, Spirit Lake; a sister, Mrs. F.P. Leonhard, Marshfield; and four brothers: Stephen, Marshfield; Florian, New York; Joseph, Portland, Ore. and John, Newport, Ore. A son and two sisters also preceded him in death.
