Rubber boots were in great demand the past week.

Miss Edith Learned came up from Fox Lake last Friday and will visit with relatives for a while before opening her school in the Foreman district.

Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Lawrence of Wabeno visited in this vicinity from Thursday until Monday. They came in their auto.

Rev. and Mrs. Scott of Granton were over Sunday to attend divine services here.

Mrs. Olive Lawrence of Hannibal spent a few days in this vicinity, returning home again last Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Hans Olson of Neillsville spent Sunday with John Van de Berg and family.

A.M. Turner was down from Loyal last Sunday and called at the home of his son and family.

A.E. Lawrence, W.M. Rowe, F.D. Rowe and their wives spent Sunday at Neillsville with Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Rowe.

A still born babe was born to Mr. and Mrs. A.P. Fulwiler last week Tuesday.

The weather this week seems to be excellent for making hay. The farmers are improving the opportunity to finish their haying, harvest the barley, oats are coming on fast and some of it will be cut this week.

Ed Fulwiler and family, Miss Clara and Mollie Miller and Albert Miller all of Loyal called at ye scribe’s home last Sunday afternoon.
