Elmhorst, Louis (14 December 1880 - 9 January 1969)

Louis Elmhorst, 88, of Granton died last Thursday in a Milwaukee hospital. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Zion Lutheran Church in Granton. The Rev. Roland Roehrs officiated. Burial was made in the church cemetery.

Mr. Elmhorst was born December 14, 1880, in Germany and came to the United States as a small child. He attended schools in Illinois. On December 18, 1904, he was married in La Grange, Ill., to Eleanora Fehrman, who died in 1961. They moved to the Town of Lynn, where they resided until her death. In 1964, Mr. Elmhorst moved into Granton.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Edna Bulgren and Mrs. George (Eleanore) Elliott, both of Elmhurst, Ill., Mrs. Ralph (Julie) Carrell of Oak Creek and Mrs. Byrl (Litta) Rowe of Owen; a son, Edwin Elmhorst of St. Louis Park, Minn.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Hugo Trimberger, Marvin Garbisch, Durward Schwarze, Victor Tharp, Ray Nowack and William Weichelt.

The Gilbertson Funeral Home made funeral arrangements.
