Patitz, Emelia (1873 – 1964)

PLAN SERVICES FRIDAY FOR MRS. EMELIA PATITZ

Mrs. Emelia Patitz, 90, a resident of Havenet Nursing Home at Owen, died at 8:00 o’clock Tuesday morning.  She was born at Watertown, Wisconsin, August 12, 1873, and at an early age moved with her parents to Hamburg, Wisconsin, where she resided until her marriage in 1891 to Paul Voight, who died in 1892.  They had one son.

In 1894 she married John Patitz who preceeded her in death in 1912.

The body will repose at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home until Friday forenoon and then be taken to the United Church of Christ in Dorchester.  Services will be at 1:30 Friday afternoon.  Rev. Robert Goessling will officiate.

Her survivors include two sons, Ted of Glidden, and Herman of Brainerd, Minnesota; three daughters, Mrs. Louis Sheridan, Appleton; Mrs. Lee Jensen, Owen; Mrs. Reginald Marshall, Chicago, Ill.; two step daughters, Mrs. Harvey Culbertson, Appleton; Mrs. Fred Pudlas, Curtiss; 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, besides nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister and two sons.  Interment will be made in the Colby cemetery.
