Bruesewitz, Betty Ann (1949)

Steinwagner-Bruesewitz

Miss Betty Ann Bruesewitz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred H. Bruesewitz, route 2, became the bride of Herbert J. Steinwagner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Steinwagner, route 3, Marshfield, in a ceremony performed at St. John’s Lutheran Church at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, June 11. Rev. H. C. Hinz performed the double -ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, she was gowned in white marquisate over taffeta. The fitted bodice was styled with two rows of lace, her neckline with collar and tapering sleeves. The full skirt extended into a long train. Chantilly lace trimmed her finger-tip veil of imported illusion which was caught to a crown of seed pearls and orange blossoms. Her only jewelry was a double strand of pearls given her by the groom’s parents as a graduation present. She carried a shower bouquet of talisman roses.

Miss Beatrice Bruss, route 1, was maid of honor in a yellow dress of marquisette over taffeta, she wore a picture hat to match and her bouquet was of talisman roses.

Mrs. Wilmer Bruesewitz, Riplinger, sister-in-law of the bride was bridesmaid in an orchid marquisette gown with matching picture hat. Her bouquet was also of talisman roses.

Both attendants wore double strand pearls, a gift of the bride.

Willmer Bruesewitz, brother of the bride, was best man. Victor Krueger, route 1, also served the groom. Ushers were Stanley Krueger, route 1 a cousin of the bride and Earl Krueger, another cousin of the bride.

The couple was feted at a 5 o’clock dinner in the church parlors and a reception at the home of the bride’s parents.

Betty was graduated from the Spencer High School and has been employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Her husband graduated from Marshfield High School and is employed as a truck driver for Delmore Peterson.

The newlyweds are making their home at present with the bride’s parents.
