Wendt, Trena Nadine (Marriage - 30 August 1969)

Miss Trena Nadine Wendt of Madison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred L. Wendt of Kingston, and Jeffery L. Dux, also of Madison, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred H. Dux of Neillsville, were married August 30 at Bashford Methodist Church in Madison. Dr. E. D. Hulse officiated at the 7 p.m. double-ring ceremony. Blue and white flowers decorated the altar.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a straight A-line floor-length gown of peau de soie, featuring an empire waist and Swiss embroidered lace trim. Her veil was of fingertip length. She carried a white orchid surrounded by red roses and stephanotis.

Mrs. Donald Trebus of Richland Center served her sister as matron-of-honor. Linda Henry of Madison was bridesmaid. They wore street-length dresses of blue crepe with white lace trim. They each carried a bouquet of blue tinted daisies with a white rose in the center.

The groom’s brother, Kenneth Dux of Stoughton, was bestman. Mark Anding of Granton, nephew of the groom, was groomsman. Ushering duties were performed by Michael Mullally of Madison and Bruce Wendt of Kingston.

Russel Wendt, brother of the bride, sang, “O Perfect Love” and “Oh Promise Me.”

A reception was held at the Madison Town Hall, with 85 guests attending.

The bride is employed by the board of education in Madison, and the groom is a draftsman with the city engineering department there.

After a wedding trip into northern Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. Dux will reside at 2305 Carling Drive, Madison.
