Justman, Mr./Mrs. Roy (Gold - 29 OCT 1964)

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Justman of Unity celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, Oct. 25, 1964, at the Trinity Lutheran Church dining room.

Dinner was served to immediate relatives at 12:30 p.m. Several songs were sung by Pastor Langseth, Sudan Justman and Barbara Messer, accompanied by Kathie Justman. Open house was held at the church basement from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

A corsage of yellow roses and mums was worn by Mrs. Justman.

Roy Justman and Emma Johnson were married at the Colby Lutheran Parsonage Oct. 29, 1914.

Mrs. Ed Domer, sister of the bride, who now resides in Oshkosh, was the only original attendant present.

The couple purchased the family farm and lived there until 1947, and then moved to Unity where they now live.

Mr. Justman was born at Theresa, Dodge Co., Wis., and came to Unity at the age of nine with his parents to a farm southwest of Unity. He is a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church at Unity, and served on the church board and has been a member of the choir since 1921. He also served as a school board member several times.

Mr. Justman enjoys good health and is an enthusiastic baseball fan and a lifetime musician.

Mrs. Justman was born in the Township of Unity (Clark Co., Wis.). She is also a member of the Lutheran Church in Unity and a member of the LCW. For he hobbies she enjoysin knitting and has kept scrap books of interesting news articles since 1907.

Their son, Merlin Justman, now resides on the home farm. Two other sons, Marvin and Roy Jr. are deceased. The couple has four grandchildren.

Many friends and relatives from neighboring vicinities greeted the couple. Other out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Domer, Mr. and Mrs. Don Schneider, Gary and Linda, of Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stormont, Mr. and Mrs. Milo Henneman and daughter, Rockford, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Errol Huhn, Brenda and Lynette, Cadott; Mrs. Hattie Peterson, Neillsville; Mrs. Clara Firnstahl, Napa, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Hilbert Pagel, Milwaukee; Mrs. Karl Gewiss, Mrs. Ronald Stark and daughter, and Mrs. Gust Ewert of Mosinee.
