Holt, Carol Jean (Marriage - 6 September 1969)

Carol Jean Holt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merton Holt of Rt. 1 Neillsville and Ronald F. Boushon, son of Frank and the late Mrs. Boushon, of Rt. 1 Chili, were united in marriage Saturday, September 6, at the Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant. The Rev. Evan Dieck officiated at the 2 p.m. double ring ceremony. Bouquets of white gladioli and aqua carnations decorated the church.

Mr. Holt gave his daughter in marriage. The bride was attired in a full length empire styled gown of nylon and Chantilace over taffeta. Her chapel train was of Chantilace. Her elbow length illusion veil was secured by a cluster headpiece of Chantilace and crystal. She carried a cascade arrangement of pink sweetheart roses and white pompon ‘mums.

Mrs. Donald (Val) Boushon of Chili was matron of honor. Mrs. Thomas (Joyce) Hart of Racine was bridesmaid. They wore floor-length gowns of aqua georgette with matching lace coats. Their short veils wee attached to cluster headpieces of aqua net and crystals. Each carried a colonial bouquet of white gladioli and pink and aqua carnations.

Donald Boushon of Chili was bestman and Thomas Hart of Racine served as groomsman. Ushering duties were performed by Daniel Boushon of Marshfield and Robert Holt of Durand.

Miss Margie Schlinsog provided organ music and Mrs. Evan Dieck was soloist. A reception, supper and dance were held in Marshfield.

The bride, a graduate of Neillsville High School, is employed at the Clark County ASCS office in Neillsville. The groom attended Marshfield High School and has employment at Spry’s elevator in Chili.

Following a wedding trip, they will make their home in Neillsville.
