Pleasant Ridge (2 SEP 1915)

The club girls will meet with Myra Jahr Saturday afternoon of this week instead of Friday on account of the fair.

W.B. Thoma and family and John Seif and wife of Globe spent Sunday at Alvin Eisentraut’s.

Mrs. Sib. Westphal and daughter of Tioga spent the week end at Fred Vine’s.

The Gallagher girls of Neillsville spent three or four days of last week with the Huckstead girls.

A Miss Vine of Greenwood visited at H. Huckstead’s last week.

Mrs. H.O. Huckstead and daughters, Dorothy and Ruth, spent part of last week at Black River Falls with their aunt, Mrs. Johnson.

H.O. Huckstead lost the fine work horse he bought of O.E. Counsell a short time ago.

Victor Counsell took a load of sheep to Granton Saturday.

Several from here took chickens to Neillsville Monday.

Mrs. Blackman had an old-fashioned quilting party Tuesday.

Mrs. John Raine was quite badly hurt last Wednesday when a bur was lost from her buggy.

Walter Jahr has a new bicycle to use in going and coming from school.

Eugene Short has a pony. He will enter high school next week.

Mrs. Wm. Ruege went to Dane County Saturday for a month’s visit with relatives.

Joe Counsell bought a Dodge car last week. It’s a fine one.

Six or seven of the young people went for a picnic Monday, going in the Counsell car.

Mesdames John Vine, Root, Ed. Huckstead, Blackman and Mrs. Tom Counsell attended the Aid at Kate Welsh’s last Thursday.
