Dopp, Jennie (19 January 1882 - 17 December 1969)

Funeral services for Mrs. Fred (Jennie) Dopp, 87, of Granton, who died December 17, in Neillsville, were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday from the Gilbertson Funeral Home. The Rev. Wesley DaFoe of Marshfield officiated. Burial was made in Windfall Cemetery, Granton.

The former Jennie Uhl was born January 19, 1882, in Galesville. On July 29, 1903, she was married there to Fred Dopp, who died June 8, 1961. Mr. and Mrs. Dopp came to the Town of Fremont in 1907, where they operated a farm until 1918, when they moved to Granton. She was a 50-year member of the Royal Neighbors of America and had served a chaplain for the organization for a number of years.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Oliver (Leilah) Stettler, and a son, Leland Dopp, both of Marshfield; and three grandchildren.

“In the Garden” and “The Old Rugged Cross” were sung by Mrs. Wesley DaFoe of Marshfield, accompanied by Mrs. Leland Garbisch.

Pallbearers were: Norman Faber, Eugene Cattanach, Douglas Crandall, Roland Quicker, Arnold Garbisch and Clarence Nowack.
