Mr. and Mrs. Victor Halbrader and Dennis, Emery and Terry were guests Friday night of Mr. and Mrs. William Lucas and family.
John Plautz entered a Marshfield hospital last Saturday for treatment.
John Govek, who attends the University at River Falls, spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Govek.
The Willard Social Club will meet with Mrs. John Verschay January 19.
Mr. and Mrs. John Roida of Abbotsford were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lamovec.
Tony Gosar, Sr., returned home Saturday from a Marshfield hospital, where he was a patient for several days.
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Klapatauskas and Mrs. L. A. Kitzhaber were dinner guests last Sunday of the R. J. Kitzhaber family in Mosinee.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Artac and son, Lawrence, were guests Sunday at the Tony Gosar home.
Mrs. Tony Gosar and son, Tony, Jr., were business callers in Thorp last Monday.
A card party was held last Sunday at the church hall sponsored by the council of Catholic men of the Holy Family Catholic Church. Frank Govek and Henry Lamovec were in charge. About 12 tables were played. St. Ann’s group of the CCW was in charge of the lunch. Door prize was won by Robert Plautz. A special prize went to Stanley Volovsek. There will be eight card parties in all.
We had a cold wave last week. It was 18 degrees below zero, one day.
