Smagacz, Victoria (? - 31 May 1961)

Funeral services for Mrs. Victoria Smagacz, 70, of City Point who passed away Wednesday morning May 31, in Chicago, will be held Saturday morning June 3 at 10:00 a.m. from Martyr’s Chapel, City Point. Friends may call at Langlois-Galston Funeral Home Friday afternoon and evening. Rosary will be said there at 8:00 p.m. (A complete obituary will appear next week).

Mrs. Victoria Smagacz, 70, of City Point, passed away Wednesday morning, May 31, 1961 at the home of her daughter in Chicago where she had been visiting. Before her husband’s death three years ago they farmed in the City Point area over forty years.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Harry (Helen) Mertens of Elgin, Illinois; Mrs. Sophie Filipiak of Chicago and Mrs. Josephine Tomsyck of Pittsville and four sons, Louis and Frank, Jr. of Chicago; Stanley of Wisconsin Rapids and Joseph of New Jersey. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren.

Funeral services for her were held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. from the Martyr’s Chapel at City Point with the Rev. Joseph Jerum officiating. Interment was made in the church cemetery. Friends called at the Langlois-Galston Funeral Home in Black River Falls Friday afternoon and evening and Rosary was said there at 8:00 p.m. Friday.
