CONDUCTED SERVICES FOR WAYNE TORMEY TODAY

Wayne Tormey, 49, a former Owen resident, died Sunday at his home in Chicago, Ill.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home in Owen. The Rev. Beryl Knudsen will officiate and burial will be made in the Riverside Cemetery at Withee. Military rites will be conducted by the Van Huizen-Fritz American Legion Post 123 of Owen.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Jalling, Norbert Bruchert, Vic Jensen, George Sorensen, Leonard Jensen and Bernard Auberg.


Wayne Tormey was born February 26, 1915, at Amber and received his education in the Owen Schools. His marriage to Esther Knudsen took place in 1947, at Eau Claire. The couple had made their home in Chicago.

Mr. Tormey was a veteran of World War II.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Frank, Richard and Charlotte, at home; his father, Frank Tormey, Withee and two brothers, Cecil Tormey, Withee; and Keith Tormey, of California.
