She was united in marriage to John Bremer on June 1, 1945, in Medford. Jean and John resided in Abbotsford their entire marriage.

Jean enjoyed company, cooking, cards, outdoor activities and travel. After retirement she and John spent several winters in Florida. She was an accomplished seamstress and quilter. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was always available when a sitter was needed. Jean was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford for over 65 years serving on the Priscilla Guild and various other committees and volunteered in the community. She was also an avid walker, covering many miles in Abbotsford. Jean was a cancer survivor and proud of it.

Jean is survived by children, Jack (Cindy) of Marshfield and Jill (Cy) Wegman of Villa Hills, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Bob, Holly and Ben Bremer, Carrie (Charles) Dykstra, Allison, Christie and Alex Wegman; and two great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Cate Dykstra; a brother, Mark (Susan) of Rock Island, Ill.; three sisters, Bernice of Minneapolis, MN, Phyllis Smith of Maumee, OH, and Janice Smith of Medford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
