Zeiset, Miriam B. (23 April 1950 - 24 July 2013)

Miriam B. Zeiset, age 63, of Stanley, formerly of Ephrata, PA, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at her home. Miriam was born April 23, 1950, in Ephrata, PA, the daughter of the late Phares & Anna Mary (Burkholder) Weaver. She grew up in Pennsylvania, and on March 23, 1972, she was united in marriage to Noah F. Zeiset.

Miriam is survived by her husband Noah, of Stanley; children: Lavern W. (Marian) Zeiset of Withee, LuAnne W. (Harry) Martin, Stanley, Nancy W. (Jerry) Brubaker of Thorp, Elaine W. (Norman) Martin of Stanley, Dorcas W. (Phares) Zimmerman of Barnett, MO, Karen W. (Noah Lamar) Zimmerman of Hopewell, PA, Andrew W. (Bertha) Zeiset and Mark W. Zeiset, all of Roaring Spring, PA; 38 grandchildren; siblings: Alta Shirk of Holland, KY, Emma Zimmerman of Ephrata, PA, Milton & Lydia Horst of East Earl, PA, Irvin & Emma Weaver of Versailles, MO, Aaron & Lena Zimmerman of Ephrata, PA, David & Verna Newswanger of New Holland, PA, Aaron & Anna Martin of Martinsburg, PA, Isaac & Louella Kulp of Hogdon, MA, Phares & Mary Ella Weaver and Nelson & Ada Weaver, all of Ephrata, PA; sister-in-law, Mary Weaver, of Denver, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Edwin Weaver; and brothers-in-law: Levi Shirk & Elam Zimmerman.

Services were held on Monday, July 29, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. at the Stanley Mennonite Church. Burial was in the Stanley Mennonite Cemetery with Norman Martin, Daniel Newswanger, Martin Zeiset, Michael Zeiset, Marvin Weaver and Noah Mark Zeiset serving as pallbearers. Visitation was held on Sunday, July 28, 2013, at the family’s home on Hart Ave., 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

Plombon Funeral Service of Stanley assisted the family.
