Platt, Edward (? - 1970)
Edward K. Platt, 68, a teacher
at Neillsville from 1924 to 1928, died May 4, while vacationing with his wife in
Little Rock, Ark. After leaving Neillsville, he took courses at the University
of Minnesota and at the University of Michigan, where he received a degree in
architectural engineering. At the time of his death, he had taught for several
years at Michigan State University.
Survivors include a daughter in
London; two brothers, Lloyd and Robert, both of Minneapolis; and two sisters,
Mrs. Charles Stein of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Jack Mondschine of Eau Claire.
Mrs. Stein came to Neillsville with her brother in 1924 and taught in a
rural school, just outside Neillsville.
The body was willed to the
University of Michigan for research.
