Morrison, Linda Kay (Marriage - 16 May 1970)

Miss Linda Kay Morrison of Granton, was given in marriage by her father, Lester Morrison of Marshfield, to Andrew Gabriel Elmhorst, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Elmhorst of Rt. 1 Neillsville, at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 16. The Rev. Paul Miller performed the double ring ceremony at the parsonage of the Free Methodist Church in Loyal before 50 guests.

The bride chose a long sleeved street length dress of light blue satin covered with white flocked organdy, featuring an empire waist and stand-up collar. A blue satin pill-box covered with white beaded lace secured her shoulder length veil. She carried a bouquet of white daisy pompons and pink sweetheart roses.

Mrs. Ronald McBride, Rt. 1 Granton, was matron of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Miss Margie Elmhorst, of Rt. 1 Chili, and Miss Janet Mettler of La Crosse. The attendants wore street length dresses in pastel shades of pink, yellow and lilac with taffeta cummerbunds. Each wore a matching hair-bow and carried a bouquet of pastel tulips to match her dress. Flowergirl duties were performed by Miss Rachel McBride.

Ronald McBride of Rt. 1 Granton was bestman. Jim Morrison of Rt. 1 Granton and Tim Elmhorst of Rt. 1 Neillsville were groomsmen.

A wedding reception, with 50 guests, was held at the York Townhall.

The bride attended Loyal Schools and her husband the Neillsville schools. They are residing on a Neillsville rural route where the groom is employed as a farmer and a milk hauler.
