Leason, Jess A. (31 October 1896 - 2 July 1970)

Funeral services for Jess A. Leason, 74, of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., who died July 2, in Minnesota, were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. William Dushek officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mr. Leason was born October 31, 1896, to Dr. William and Anna (Greisch) Leason in Neillsville. He was educated in Neillsville and graduated from Marquette School of Journalism in Milwaukee, and was a former editor of The Clark County Press and The Pioneer Press in St. Paul for over 40 years. He started out as photographer and copy editor, and at time of his retirement had been makeup editor for 10 years.

He married the late Charlotte Elliott, who died in 1965.

Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Crisafulli of Pleasant Hill, Calif.; A sister, Mrs. M. E. (Flossie) Bennett of Neillsville; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Jim Jacques, W. Hl. Allen, Jess W. Scott, E. H. Snyder, Herbert Smith and Elliot Warlum. Honorary pallbearers were: Dr. Milton C. Rosekrans, Joe Zimmerman and Frank E. Brown. Mrs. Jess W. Scott was the organist.

People attending from out-of-town included: Mrs. Patricia Crisafulli of Pleasant Hill, Cal.; Mr and Mrs. G. M. Grover of Inver Grove Hts., Minn.; Vera Clausen of Breckenridge, Minn.; and Adeline Thiel of Tenney, Minn.
