Walton, Frank G. (31 May 1932 - 20 June 2013)

Frank G. Walton, 81, of Hixton died Thursday, June 20, 2013, in the Pine View Care Center in Black River Falls. Frank was born May 31, 1932, in Holmen to Carl and Lillian (Charboneau) Walton. He was raised in the South Alma are of Jackson County. He attended welding school in Minnesota. He married Bonnie Mae Cooper February 24, 1952, at the United Methodist Church in Alma Center.

Frank was employed at the former Jackson County Iron Company, Lien’s Implement Inc., Club 95, Wisconsin Awning, Spore Trucking, George Kutz’s Farm, Laufenberg’s Farm and Dane Lumber.

Frank’s hobbies and special interests include going hunting, fishing and camping, feeding the birds, playing horseshoes and shooting pool. He was a loyal Green Bay Packer fan and a Brewer fan. He loved fixing tractors at Frank’s Fix-it Shop and he enjoyed family gatherings. He also liked All-Star Wrestling.

Survivors are his wife, Bonnie; one son Rocky (Sarah Eisberner) Walton, Alma Center; two daughters, Penny (Terry) Marg, Merrillan, and Angela (Joel) Smith, Humbird; one brother, Arvid (Delores) Walton, Black River Falls; and two sisters, Betty (Dominic) Modica, Black River Falls, and Lorraine (Gordon) Kleba, Merrillan; eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Lillian; a brother, Carl, Jr.; infant twin brothers, Irvin and Robert Walton; three half-brothers, Harold Walton, and Chester and Ben McNeely; and a half-sister, Janice Hanson.

Memorial funeral services for Frank G. Walton were held at noon Monday, June 24, 2013, from the United Methodist Church in Alma Center. Services will be conducted by Rev. Terry Marg, and burial will be at a later date in the East Lawn Cemetery in Alma Center. Relatives and friends called at the church Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

Torgerson’s Funeral Home (715-284-4321) of Black River Falls assisted the family with arrangements.
