Hubing, Mike (1848 – 19 Jul 1916)

Mike Hubing died suddenly while sitting in a chair at his home in Athens on Wednesday of last week. Mr. Hubing was a former resident of Clark County, having lived in the town of Grant for about 40 years. He and his wife moved to Athens about three years ago as four of their sons lived there. Deceased was born in Belgium, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, in 1848 and was married to Margaret Klein. They came to Clark County many years ago and built up one of the finest farms in the lower end of the county. He was a fine man and one who held the very highest respect of everybody in this vicinity and his sudden death will be a severe shock to all his old friends here. Mr. Hubing is survived by his wife and seven children: John of Loyal, Frank, George, Emil and Ernest and Mrs. John Wojchichowski of Athens and Mrs. George Beaver of Granton.
