Voight, Rose (25 JUL 1878 - 3 AUG 1953)

Rose Kocher, daughter of Louis and Mary (Roehreanz) Kocher, was born in Washington County, Wis. On July 25, 1878 and came with her parents to Clark County in the spring of 1917, settling on a farm south of this city.

On April 26, 1917 she was united in marriage with Jule Voight. They settled on a farm south of Greenwood. To this union one daughter, Marion, was born. In 1945 she and her daughter moved to Marshfield and for many years made her home with her sisters and brother.

Mrs. Voight passed away at the home of her sisters on Monday, Aug. 3, 1953 at 11:30 a.m. The body was brought to the Schiller Funeral Parlor, and on Thursday, Aug. 6th a Christian Science Service will be held at 2:30 p.m., with Mrs. Eileen Seif as reader. Miss Nancy Hohl will sing two selections during the service. Mrs. Voigt will be laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery beside her husband and daughter.

The pallbearers will be Gilbert Rohde, Herbert Schendel, Donald and Wilbur Lenz, Wm. Scheuring and Donald Kocher.

She is survived by three sisters, Laura, Cora and Ella Kocher, Marshfield, two brothers, Lynn, Marshfield and Fred, Greenwood, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away Dec. 11, 1944; her daughter, who passed away Oct. 21, 1952; one brother and two sisters, and her parents.
