Stafford, John Henry #2 (28 OCT 1865 - 23 JUN1941)

Funeral services for John Henry Stafford, 75, who passed away at his home here last Monday, June 23, 1941, were conducted Thursday afternoon at the Stafford home, Rev. Alex Abbott officiated and he was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.

During the services Mrs. Chal Perkins and Miss Evangeline Sheets sand “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Abide With Me,” accompanied by Mrs. John Meng.

Honorary pallbearers were Adolph Meyer, Bert Wilcox, A. Flagg, George Flagg, Greenwood; Bert Hayner, Antigo and W.F. Gray of Loyal.

Active pallbearers were Orville Dimler, Evan Hatton, Clark Hatton, Chas. Bostwick and Stryker Flagg.

Flower girls were Dorothy Dillenbeck, Martha Dimler, Velma Gemmeke and Marilyn Clintsman.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rossman, Withee; Robert Rossman, La Crosse; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Stafford and son Henry Lee of Abercrombie, N.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hayner, Antigo; W.F. Gray and Mrs. Alfred Gray, Loyal.
