Haglund, Charlotte #2 (20 SEP 1858 - 06 APR 1942)

The funeral of Mrs. Charlotte Haglund was held at the United Lutheran Church on Monday, April 6, 1942 with Rev. A.E. Norson officiating.

Her favorite hymns “My Mother’s Prayer” and “Jesus Savior Pilot Me,” were sung by Mrs. Louis Behrens and Mrs. Albert Dahl.

She was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.

The pallbearers were A.Y. Haglund, G.R. Haglund, E.L. Haglund, E.A. Behrens, B.L. Behrens and T.N. Johnson.

Charlotte Gudmonson was born in Gotteborg, Sweden on September 29, 1858. She was united in marriage to Swan Gustave Haglund in 1879. They came to America in 1890 and settled in Chicago. In 1901 the family moved to Greenwood and she has made her home here ever since.

Mrs. Haglund was the mother of 12 children. Five of whom preceded her in death. Her husband passed away in 1907.

She has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Agnes Behrens for the past two winters. She became ill on Monday, March 30th and was taken to the Neillsville Hospital and passed away on April 2nd, 1942 at the age of 83 years, 6 months, and 13 days.

She leaves to mourn her loss her seven children, Mrs. T.N. (Hildur) Johnson, St. Paul; Mrs. L.C. (Tensina) Clute, Harve, Mont.; Mrs. Agnes Behrens, Greenwood; Gustav R. Haglund, Havre, Mont.; Elmer L. Haglund, St. Paul, Minn.; Arthur Y. Haglund, Bismark, N. Dak.; Edvald O. Haglund, Lewiston, Mont.

Those attending from out of town were Mrs. L.C. Clute, G.R. Haglund, Havre, Mont.; A.Y. Haglund, Bismark, N.D.; Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Haglund, T.N. Johnson and son Harold, St. Paul, Minn.; Mrs. A.J. Hertzog, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. James Redgren, Menomonie; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schmidt, Suring; Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Behrens, Longwood and Mrs. Louisa Roseman, Loyal.
