Jennie, Emilie; (06 Dec 1884 - 03 June 1967)

Mrs. Emilie Jenni, 82, formerly of Loyal, died of a heart attack at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 3, at the Memorial Home, Neillsville, where she had resided for the past two months.

Services were conducted Wednesday, June 7, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. A. M. Moldenhauer officiating. Burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery. The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

The former Emilie Schoenggrund was born October 6, 1884 in Germany, and when a child came to the United States and settled in the Loyal area. Her marriage to Ernest Jenni took place February 10, 1909, at Loyal.

Pallbearers were Julius Ehlert, Glen Doering, John Habhegger, Gilbert Loos, Leon Hoesser, and Glen Clouse.

Mrs. Verland and Erwin Dux, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Kenneth Voss sang “Softly and Tenderly,” and “Rock of Ages.”

Mrs. Jenni had made her home at Loyal until 1948 when she moved to Spencer. Before becoming a resident at Memorial Home, she resided with a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Franz.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Marshfield.

Survivors include two sons, Frederick, Beaver Dam; and Walter, Waterloo; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Esther) Franz, Marshfield; and Mrs. Louis (Inez) Meier, Neillsville; a brother, Carl Schoengrund, Delavan; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons in infancy; and two brothers.
