Mitte, Bertha (6 November 1905 - 19 December 1971)

Funeral services for Miss Bertha Mitte, 66, of Milwaukee, who died at St. Mary’s Hospital there December 19, were held Wednesday, December 22, at 2 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel Litzer of Calvary Lutheran Church officiated and burial was made in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery at Globe. Services were also held Tuesday at the Ritter Funeral Home in Milwaukee.

Miss Mitt, the daughter of Walter F. and Bertha Schoenherr Mitte was born November 6, 1905, in Clark County. She was employed as a meat packer for many years and retired in 1970.

Survivors include three sisters: Mrs. Hedwig Schoenherr of Neillsville, Mrs. Tillie M. Kramer of Milwaukee and Mrs. Edwina Pemberton of Portland, Or; and four brothers; Edward Klueckmann of Neillsville, Walter F. Mitte of Milwaukee, William Mitte of Dubuque, Ia, and Harold Mitte of Neillsville.

Pallbearers were George Thoma, Larry L. Adams, William H. Mitte, Franklin Mitte, Thomas C. Kramer and Forest Klueckmann. Mrs. Harold Mayer sang “Asleep in Jesus” and “Just As I Am.” She was accompanied by Mrs. David Hoppa.

Those from out of town who attended the services included Mrs. Tillie Kramer and Thomas Kramer of Milwaukee, Mrs. Edwina Pemberton and Mrs. Richard Ashby of Portland, Or, Forest Klueckmann of Fall Creek and Mrs. Ervin V. Clark of Eau Claire.
