Mrs. Geo. Scherer called on Mrs. J. Demuth Monday afternoon.

Art Ampe was a Neillsville caller Friday.

Mary Scherer is assisting Mrs. Art Ampe with her housework.

Mr. and Mrs. John Longridge spent Sunday afternoon and evening at the Fred Kocher home.

Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Ampe and family of Stanley visited at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Ampe on Sunday.

Friends and neighbors helped Raymond Scherer celebrate his birthday Sunday evening. Cards and games were played and lunch served. A good time was had by all.

Mrs. Art Ampe suffered severe burns Thursday while helping to scald a hog. The platform on which she was standing broke and she stepped into a bail of boiling water, tipping it over, scalding her leg from knee to the foot. She will be laid up for some time. Her many friends here hope she will be better soon.

Mr. and Mrs. Evan Hatton and family visited at the Fred Kocher home Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Julius Ampe, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kocher and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Buchsteiner went to Marshfield Monday to see Mr. Kalkofen, who is a patient at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Geo. Scherer is busy hauling ice these days for the neighbors.

Art Ampe lost a valuable cow Sunday night.

Ken Rogers is employed at the Kalkofen home for the present.

Mrs. Homer Potter and Mrs. Floyd Potts were Neillsville callers one day the past week.

Francis Scherer, who is employed at Abbotsford, spent Sunday at his home here.

Lester Ellingson was a caller at the Kalkofen home Sunday evening.
