Pleasant Ridge (17 February 1972)

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Short returned last Thursday from a two-week trip to Arizona. The Shorts visited with friends and relatives in the Phoenix and Tucson areas.

Miss Shirley Magnuson of Minneapolis, Mn, spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Ella Magnuson and also visited at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Magnuson and family.

Pleasant Ridge homemakers were to meet Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Lamoine Anason.

Mr. and Mrs. Kuechenmeister visited at the homes of Mrs. Ruben Hantke and Mrs. Gary Kuechenmeister is attending adult classes in German at Neillsville High School again this semester.

The Pleasant Ridge circle of the W.S.C.S. of the Neillsville United Methodist church met last week at the home of Mrs. William Hrasky in Neillsville. Bible study was conducted and a program pertaining to the World Day of Prayer was presented.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gaier and two of their children and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Short were among those who flew to a “Fly-in” Sunday at Burlington. The Gaiers and the Shorts traveled separately.

Members of the Pleasant Ridge 4-H club have been practicing diligently for the 4-H drama festival which will be held in Loyal on Saturday. The title of the one-act play which they will present is “In Them Thar Hills.” Mrs. Tom Meredith is the director.
