Krause, Clarence George (26 November 1926 - 7 April 2014) With Flag

Clarence Krause, age 87, of Neillsville died Monday, April 7, 2014 at his residence on K8ing Road.

Clarence George Krause was born Nov. 26, 1926, in Marshfield, the son of George and Rocelia (Gerber) Krause. He attended the Happy Hollow School in rural Neillsville and St. John’s Lutheran School and graduated from Neillsville High School. Clarence then worked as a dairy farmer until his tour of duty in the Marine Corps in November of 1951. He was stationed on a Marine Air Base with the 1st Marine Air Wing during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in November of 1953. Clarence was united in marriage to Linda (Johnson) Frank on Nov. 30, 1968, in Rockford, IL. He retired from farming in 1989.

He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. His enjoyment in life was spending time with is grandsons, Cody and Nicholas King.

He is survived by a daughter, Karen (Travis) King of Neillsville; two grandsons, Cody and Nicholas King of Neillsville; and two sisters, Virginia McIntyre of Illinois and Shirley (Arlo) Smith of Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, his parents, George and Rocelia; and a sister, Elaine Krause.
