Gaddis, Muriel May (25 May 1932 - 27 March 2014)

Muriel May Gaddis, age 81, of Withee passed away Thursday, March27, 2014, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the United Methodist Church in Withee. Family and friends are welcome from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday, May 3, 2014. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen is entrusted with the arrangements.

Murial was born May 25, 1932, in Curlew, IA, the daughter of Clarence and Helen (Ward) Johnson. She graduated from Curlew High School. Muriel was united in marriage to Arthur E. Gaddis March 4, 1951, in Curlew, IA. She was active on the farm in rural Withee and worked as a physical therapist assistant at the hospital in Stanley for many years.

Muriel was a member of the United Methodist Church in Withee and was active in the national Aryshire Cattle Association. She also enjoyed her Thursday coffee with her friends in Withee.

Muriel is survived by her husband, Arthur Gaddis; two sons, David Gaddis of Withee and Kevin (Melanie) Gaddis of Neillsville; two grandchildren, Ryan (Nancy) Gaddis of Christie and Dustin Gaddis of Eau Claire; and one great-grandson, Erich Gaddis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Helen.
