Hinkelmann. Nancy: Homemaker award

Nancy J. Hinkelmann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hinkelmann. Route one, Loyal, a senior at Loyal High School, has earned the Betty Crocker for having the highest rating in a written homemaking knowledge and attitude examination by all senior girls on December 5.

Nancy is now eligible for the state and national scholarships awards. Her examination paper has been entered in judging for the state Homemakers of Tomorrow.

This is the 14th consecutive year such a test was administered in schools throughout the country. The goals of the program are (1) to enhance the dignity and prestige of the American home; (2) to stimulate interest in homemaking; and (3) to emphasize the outstanding contributions to the home being made by high schools and high schools teachers.
