------ Krause, Gladys Irene (07 AUG 1965)

For the wedding of Wilfred Marcott of route 1, Dorchester and Miss Gladys Irene Krause of Waubay, S. Dak., Saturday, Aug 7, guests were seated at the Christian Missionary Alliance church at Owen by Donald Marcott of route 1, Dorchester and Robert Marcott of Milwaukee, sons of the groom.

The Rev. Arnold Woodring read the double ring service at 2 o’clock and Mrs. Woodring was soloist with Mrs. Grace Kallio as organist.

Attending the couple were Miss Marie Clinstman of Greenwood and Alfred Thompson of Curtiss, friends of the couple.

Michele and Mitchell Marcott, grand children of the groom served as flower girl and ring bearer.

For her wedding, the bride was attired in a white street-length dress designed with a lace top and short cap sleeves and a satin bell skirt with a cummerbund accented with a bow at the front and at the back.  She wore a short veil with a small crown headpiece and carried a white Bible on which there was an arrangement of pink roses and lily of the valley.

Her maid of honor wore a light blue chiffon over taffeta dress with a gathered skirt and cummerbund.  She carried a cascade bouquet of white mums with blue ribbons.

A similarly designed dress of yellow silk organza over taffeta was worn by the flower girl.  She carried a white basket with white mums and yellow ribbons.

The bridal aids wore matching headpieces fashioned of large bow and attached veils.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the church.  Guests came from Owen, Curtiss, Dorchester, Abbotsford, Phillips, Milwaukee and Minneapolis.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Marcott will make their home on the groom’s farm in the town of Mayville when they return from a week’s honeymoon to northern Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Prior to her marriage the bride was a house mother at the Desie Scott Children’s Home in Pine Ridge, Ky.
