Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 14, at St. Mary’s Catholic church for Mrs. Katherine McKinnon, Colby. Mrs. McKinnon died Thursday, Aug. 12, at the age of 88. The Rev. John B. Pinion officiated, and burial was made in St. Mary’s parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were attended to by the Lulloff Funeral Home. A general rosary was held Saturday evening at the funeral home.

Pallbearers were Bill Grauman, Gary Cook, Rod Cook, Leon Steinwand, Harold Baumgart and Joe Orth.

Mrs. McKinnon was born Katherine Orth Feb. 24, 1877, in the town of Colby. She received her

education in Colby area schools and was married to Angus McKinnon at Phillips. They spent their entire married life at St. Paul, Minn., where Mr. McKinnon worked as a carpenter. Mrs. McKinnon moved to Colby following the death of her husband on Dec. 10, 1953. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church.

Survivors include two brothers, Conrad Orth of Colby and Charles Orth of Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Elizabeth) Tesmer, Colby, and Mrs. Ted (Pauline) Steinwand, Colby. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
