Loberg, Stella Grace (3 January 1911 - 8 June 2014)

Stella Loberg, 103 of Neillsville died Sunday, June 8, 2014, at the Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Stella Grace Loberg was born at Tony, (Clark County) the fourth daughter of 11 children, to Jonas and Bertha (Kaulhman) Swoverland. She married Kenneth B. Loberg Oct. 9, 1940. She lived in Christie from the time of her marriage until 2002.

She always enjoyed gardening, growing lots of flowers and baking. For 20 years, Stella wrote the Christie News for The Clark County Press.

She is survived by two children, Orville (Judy) Loberg of Neillsville and Sharon Schreiner of Marshfield; four grandchildren, Charlene (Dennie) Dehnke of Fall Creek, Keith (Tammy) Loberg of Neillsville, Angela (Peter) Lammar of Stetsonville and Julie )Jesse Curtin) Schreiner of Marathon City; six great-grandchildren, Emily (Nik Nelson) Armbrust, Arielle, Marlana and Victoria Lammar and Darrin and Dayne Loberg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth, in 2002; her son-in-law, Charles Schreiner, in 2006; and her siblings: Ray, Eva, Chris, Violet, Clarence, Andrew, Alice, Nina, Dorthy and Claude.

Funeral services for Stella will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Dong Su Lee will officiate. Interment will be in the Marie Louise Chapel Cemetery in Christie. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and will again be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Gesche Funeral Home.

Casketbearers are: Keith Loberg, Pete Lammar, Dennis Dehnke, Charlen Dehnke, Angele Lammar and Julie Schreiner.
