Funeral services for Mrs. Allie Brunkhorst, 83, former Unity resident, who died at St. Agnes hospital, Fond du Lac, Sunday, Jan 23, were held Tuesday afternoon at Zacharal Funeral Home, Fond du Lac.  Interment was made in Estabrook cemetery, Fond de Lac with grandsons serving as pallbearers.  They were Alan, Brian, and Kenneth Brunkhorst, Jr., Charles, Kay and Robert MacDonald.

The former Allie Klein was born Oct. 19, 1882, at Unity and lived at Unity, Colby and Abbotsford during most of her life.  Her marriage to Henry Brunkhorst took place Aug. 5, 1907 at Menominee, Mich.

For the past seven years, Mrs. Brunkhorst resided at Fond du Lac.

Surviving her are nine children: Arlyn Brunkhorst, Abbotsford; Mrs. Ollie (Marjorie) Pilon, Riverside, Calif.; Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Simoni, San Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. Earl (Doris) Zimmerman, Madison; Mrs. Franklin (De Lora) Terrio, Culver City, Calif.; Mrs. Forest (Audrey) MacDonald, Beloit; James Brunkhorst, Unity; Kenneth Brunkhorst, Milwaukee; and Robert Brunkhorst, Fond du Lac.

Also surviving her are 20 grand children, four great grand children, one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Falck, Milwaukee; and one brother Ed Klein, Beaver Dam.

She was preceded in death by her husband on May 10, 1931, and also by two sons and one sister, Amy Klein.

Among those from this area, attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Arlyn Brunkhorst, Abbotsford, and Mr. and Mrs. James Brunkhorst of Unity.
