LaGasse, Lois K. (FEB 1967)

Before an altar decorated with Chrysanthemums, Miss Lois K. LaGasse became the bride of Edward J. Grajkowski at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thorp. Father Brockman performed the 11 a.m. Nuptial Mass and marriage ceremony. Mrs. Dennis Badzinski sang "Ave Maria" while the bride presented a bouquet of carnations to the Virgin Mary's altar.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John LaGasse and Mr. and Mrs. Joe P. Grajkowski, both of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown designed and styled by her self. The long, empire style sleeveless gown was made of white shimmering crepe, covered with an all lace jacket made with bell shaped sleeves and traditional buttons down the back. Attached to the back of the dress waistline was an all lace, 3 foot flowing train. Her three-tier veil was attached to a white pearl crown and she carried a bouquet of red and white roses with ivy.

Mrs. John Knusta, Eau Claire, was her sister's matron of honor, and bridesmaids were: Mrs. Dennis Badzinski, Thorp, Mrs. John Olson, Minneapolis, both friends of the bride, and Miss Terry LaGasse, Thorp, sister of the bride. They wore long, empire style blue satin and green and blue brocade dresses. They featured blue and green brocade panels. Completing their ensemble were blue satin hats, green satin shoes and white gloves. Each carried a large white ball of Chrysanthemums.

Paul Pulokas, Thorp, friend of the groom, was best man, and groomsmen were: Carl Martin, Lake Mills, friend of the groom, and George and Mathew Grajkowski, Thorp, brothers of the groom. Usher was Ed Jesse, Barron, friend of the groom.

A reception and dinner for 175 guests were given at the Thorp Finance Corp. dinning room. A wedding dance was held at the American Legion Hall in the evening.

The bride, a 1963 graduate of Thorp High School, is a secretary with the University of Wisconsin, Madison. The groom is a 1962 graduate of Thorp High School and a January 1967 graduate of the University of Wisconsin. He affiliated with Delta Theta Sigma Fraternity. He is presently employed with Kroger Food Stores, Inc., in management.

After a wedding trip to Green Bay, they will make their home at 2507 University Ave., Madison.
