A resident of Clark County since 1904, Everett E. Raine, 89, of Memorial Home, died August 1, just two days before his 90th birthday. Funeral services for Mr. Raine are to be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 1:30 p. m. from the Georgas Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary Clark of the United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Everett E. Raine, the son of John and Hannah (Evans) Raine, was born August 3, 1882, at Leadmine and was educated there. He came to Clark County with his parents in 1904 and settled on a farm east of Neillsville. His marriage to the former Anna Wegner took place June 18, 1913, in the Town of pine Valley. Mrs. Raine died in 1960.

The Raines farmed in the Neillsville area. Mr. Raine, who was a resident of Memorial Home for the last year, was honored at the Clark County Fair three years ago as being the oldest Green Thumb worker.

Survivors include a son, Darrel, of Rt. 1 Neillsville; and 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Harold (Ruby) Sheddon of Clintonville.
