Ramberg, Edwin (15 MAR 1892 – 20 MAY 1966)

Edwin Ramberg, 74, passed away Friday, May 20th, 1966 at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire, of a cerebral hemorrhage.

Mr. Ramberg, a retired cheesemaker and farmer, was born March 15, 1892 in St. Croix County, Baldwin, Wis. He made cheese at Pleasant Valley Cheese Factory for two years, then purchased a farm in the town of Reseburg. He retired 9 years ago, living in Chippewa Falls and his last eyars in the city of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). On Uly 21, 1913 he was united in marriage at Thorp, Wis., to Jennie Harper, who preceded him in death Oct. 21, 1942. On Oct. 14, 1957 he was married to Hilma Roesler at Chippewa Falls.

Funeral services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Thorp on Monday, May 23rd. Rev. Robert Olson officiated at the two p.m. service, and burial was made in the Sylvan Cemetery, town of Reseburg. Pallbearers were: Emil Henke, Laurence Henke, Anthony Jacque, Bernard Jacque, Adolph Koltis and Roger Deutschlander.

He is survived by his wife, Hilma Ramberg; one son, Donald Ramberg, Withee; two daughters (Dorothy) Mrs. Arthur Mattes, Thorp, Mrs. Nina Martinek, Minneapolis, Minn.; one brother, Oscar Ramberg, Stanley; one sister, Melia Skaugstad, Stanley; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.
