Greenwood High School (Class of 1952 Reunion - 2 September 1972)
Intended for last week’s publication:
The Greenwood High School class of 1952 held a reunion Saturday evening at the
Legion Hall with an 8 p.m. banquet served by the Legion Auxiliary. The tables
were decorated in the class colors, red and gray, and corsages were the class
flower, red camellia. The committee on arrangements included Mr. and Mrs. Nyle
Brandt, Mrs. Claude Benzschawel and Mrs. Gordon Oldham. Nyle Brandt was master
of ceremonies.
Prizes were awarded to mrs. Nancy (Hohl) Ellingson for the first reply; coming
the greatest distance, Mrs. Pat (Twait) Richers; most children, Mrs. Irene
(Lindner) Wilke and Mrs. Helen (Lindner) Esselman; married longest, Mrs. Pat
Richers; men’s largest waistline, Richard Larson and Nyle Brandt; man with least
hair, Theodore Clintsman; door prize, Richard Larson.
Attending were 15 classmates and their spouses: Mr. and Mrs. Donald (Nancy Hohl)
Ellingson, La Crosse; Mr. and Mrs. G. (Betty Mason) Peterson, Menomonee Falls;
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Marg, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Franklin (Irene Lindner)
Wilke, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gregorich, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lesar,
Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. George (Pat Twait) Richers, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Claude
(Alice Mickett) Benzschawel, Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Nyle (Marie Younker) Brandt,
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Larson, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Hinker, Mr. and Mrs. Richard
(Helen Lindner) Esselman and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon (Shirley Minsaas) Oldham, all
of Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Clintsman of Wausau.
It was decided to meet in five years. The committee on arrangements includes
Richard Larson, Jerome Hinker, Irene Wilke and Helen Esselman.
