A home in rural Dorchester awaits the new Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Rabehl Jr. on their return from a wedding trip to an undisclosed destination.

The marriage of Miss Carol Hodd daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hodd of Abbotsford, and Alvin Rabehl Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin C. Rabehl of rural Dorchester, took place in a candlelight service at the First Presbyterian church at Abbotsford Saturday, June 4, at 7:30 o’clock.  The Rev. Charles Glidden performed the ceremony.

For the ceremony, white candles and white bows marked the pews and blue, pink and white gladioli were used to adorn the church.

The bridal gown was fashioned of organza over taffeta with a fitted bodice of lace with a scalloped sabrina neckline and long sleeves.  The bouffant skirt with an organza overskirt was designed with tiers of scalloped lace that formed a full chapel length train.  A wedding cake two tier crown embellished with pearls and crystals held her elbow length bouffant veil.  She carried a cascade arrangement of pink roses and white carnations.

Mrs. Gerald Johnson of Medford was her sister’s matron of honor and Mr. Johnson was the best man.  Ronald and Marlene Johnson of Withee, Glen Hodd of White Bear, Minn., and Rochelle Bogue of Watseka, Ill., all cousins, completed the wedding party.

The bride’s attendants wore sheath floor length dresses styled alike with empire waists with lace over the bodices and scalloped necklines.  They wore floral headpieces and carried carnations tinted to match the light pink worn by the matron of honor and ice blue by the bridesmaids.

For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Hodd wore an all lace beige dress with a jacket and blue accessories.  Mrs. Rabehl chose white accessories for her turquoise lace jacketed dress.  Both mothers had corsages of pink baby roses and white carnations.

Following the ceremony a reception and wedding supper held in the church parlors and a dance followed at Jerkwater Dine and Bar.

The bride is employed at the Abby Theater and the groom is employed at Wisconsin Milling, Abbotsford.

About 160 guests attended the wedding festivities and came from Medford, Wausau, Conrath, Beaver Dam, Colby, Dorchester, Abbotsford, Withee, Owen, Edgar, Minneapolis and White Bear, Minn., and Watseka, Ill.
