The former Miss Schaefer approached the altar with her father. Her demi-bell gown of peau de soi was complimented by a long, mantilla veil and a bouquet of white daisies.

The bride’s sister, Miss Joette Schaefer of Abbotsford, was maid-of-honor, and Miss Gayle Burger of Madison, cousin of the bride and Miss Mary Jo Verschay of Owen, sister of the groom were bridesmaids. Kimberly Schaefer, sister of the bride, was flower girl.

Attendants of the groom were Larry Hendrickson of Madison, bestman, and William Verschay of Owen and Robert Rondorf of Loyal, groomsmen. Jeffrey Schaefer, brother of the bride and James Dergance, Hillside, Ill., cousin of the groom, shared ushering duties.

A reception, dinner and dance were held at the Trianon Ballroom at Edgar.
