Walter, Mabel Marie (21 February 1895 - 24 October 1972)

Mrs. Joseph Walter, 77, died October 24 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, where she had been a patient for two weeks.

The former Mabel Marie La Tart was born February 21, 1895, and lived all her life on the same farm in the town of Beaver. She was married May 10, 1910, to Joseph Walter, who died March 30, 1969.

She is survived by two sons, Richard and Frank, both at home and three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Dolores) Bukosky of Milwaukee, Mrs. Donald (Virginia) Nyysti, of Cadott and Mrs. Edwin (Viola) Brumbaugh of Marshfield. There are eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held October 27 from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Leander Koopman officiated and burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Frank Kaiser, Frank Reinhart, Emil Burick, Joseph Haase, William Brumbaugh and James Brumbaugh.
