------ Weix, Constance Marie (13 AUG 1966)

At a nuptial mass performed Saturday, Aug. 13, at St. Mary’s Catholic church by Rev. John B. Pinion, Miss Constance Marie Weix, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Frank A. Weix, Colby, and Gary Lazachek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lazachek, New Berlin, exchanged wedding vows.

Dr. Weix presented his daughter in marriage before an altar decorated with white gladiolus. Other church decorations included white satin pew bows, each holding two white orchids, and white satin streamers held yellow roses and stephanotis. Sister Louise Marie played the organ and the summer choir sang for the ceremony.

The bride, attired in a white silk organza over tissue taffeta bridal gown, carried a bouquet of a spray of yellow roses, stephanotis and daisies. Her gown was fashioned with an empire waistline, scoop neckline and semi-sheath skirt front with a full chapel train. The empire waistline was accented with re-embroidered alencon lace and a scalloped band of re-embroidered alencon lace circled the skirt. Appliques of lace were repeated on the train. She wore a lace edged mantilla headpiece.

The maid of honor, Miss Phyllis Weix, Colby, and the bridesmaids, Miss Joceil Weix, Colby and Miss Kris Lazachek, New Berlin, wore gowns of silk linen in seafoam green, fashioned with floor length semi-sheath skirts, scoop necklines and empire waistlines. The waistlines were accented with wide bands of Venice lace with self-ribbon lacing, and their elbow length sleeves had circles of Venice lace. Short silk illusion veils fell from matching pillbox headpieces trimmed with daisies and velvet ribbons.

Jim Lazachek, Brookfield, was the best man, and groomsmen were John Weix and Albert Weix Jr., both of Colby.

The wedding reception was held at the Hotel Charles in Marshfield.

The new Mrs. Lazachek is a 1961 graduate of Colby high school and a 1966 graduate of Marquette university college of nursing, Milwaukee. She will be employed by the Visiting Nurses Association of Milwaukee. Her husband is a 1961 graduate of Marquette high school and is a third year medical student at Marquette university, Milwaukee.

Mr. and Mrs. Lazachek will be at home at 2127 North 63rd St., Wauwatosa, following a wedding trip into Canada, Madeline Islands and into the New England states.
